12.1-Inch High-Resolution Multiparameter Monitor with 15-Language Interface

The CONTEC CMS8000 is a 12.1-inch TFT colour LCD patient monitor designed for comprehensive multiparameter monitoring in ICU, HDU, ward and theatre environments across all patient age groups ? adult, paediatric and neonatal. The 15-language interface makes the CMS8000 accessible to multinational clinical teams and deployable in international healthcare settings without language barriers. Standard parameters include ECG with 5-lead acquisition (RA, LA, RL, LL, V; lead selection I, II, III, aVR, aVL, aVF, V), SpO2 (0?99%, ?2% accuracy), NIBP (oscillometric, adult and paediatric/neonatal ranges), respiration (6?150rpm with apnea alarm at 10 rpm), and dual-channel temperature (1?50?C). All parameters display simultaneously on the colour TFT screen with trend graphs, big numerics, bar chart and freeze functions available.

72-Hour Trend Storage, USB and Network Data Management

The CMS8000 stores up to 72-hour parameter trends and 24-hour groups of IP data, with 48-hour review of ECG waveforms and software updating capability. A USB interface supports data transfer to external storage and analysis systems, and a network interface connects the CMS8000 to the CONTEC central monitoring station for multi-bed centralised monitoring from a nursing station. Audible and visual alarms with 7 physiological alarm levels and anti-arrhythmia alarms cover all parameters, with alarm events recallable for event review. Anti-electromagnetic interference and anti-weak filtering capability maintain signal quality in electrically noisy clinical environments. The monitor can be configured for anti-pacemaker interference for use with pacemaker-dependent patients.

Optional Parameters and South African ICU Applications

Optional parameters expand the CMS8000 into full ICU capability: dual-channel invasive blood pressure (IBP) for ART, PA, CVP, RAP, LAP and ICP monitoring; EtCO2 (side-stream, 0.1mmHg/0~99mmHg range); and TMAP. A dual rechargeable battery supports uninterrupted monitoring during power interruptions and patient transport. The CMS8000 meets FDA certification requirements in the Americas and CE certification in Europe.
