A 30W UV germicidal lamp spanning 1 metre in length emits UV radiation that inactivates bacteria, viruses, and fungi on exposed surfaces, preventing recontamination of sterilised instruments during storage or between procedures. The 1-metre lamp length provides the largest surface exposure area in the Cami UV Steriliser range, making the 30W unit suited to clinical environments with higher instrument throughput or larger instrument trays that would exceed the coverage of the 15W unit. UV sterilisation does not replace primary autoclave or chemical sterilisation — it is a sterility maintenance step applied to instruments and disposables that have already been sterilised and are awaiting use.

Timer-Controlled Auto-Off for Safe Clinical Operation

The 30W unit is controlled by a top-mounted timer, adjustable from seconds up to 9 minutes, which automatically shuts the unit off at the end of the set cycle without requiring a separate power switch. This design prevents unintended prolonged UV exposure, which is a safety consideration for skin and eye protection in clinical environments where the unit may be left unattended. No separate on/off button is required — setting the timer initiates the cycle and the unit deactivates automatically when the period expires. The unit is fused at 2×1A and housed in a stainless steel body that is durable, hygienic, and suitable for placement on clinical counters, dressing trolleys, or instrument storage surfaces where regular cleaning is required.
