What Is the Pupil Torch with Pupil Gauge?

The VM-PTPG, code PPT/PG, is a diagnostic penlight specifically designed for clinical pupillary assessment. Beyond standard illumination of the pupil, the integrated pupil gauge, a series of graded circles printed on the body of the torch, allows the clinician to estimate pupil diameter in millimetres rapidly and accurately, without requiring a separate gauge card. Clinical Use of Pupil Assessment

The pupillary light reflex is assessed by shining the penlight directly into each eye and observing the speed and symmetry of constriction.
