The DW1010 wall-mounted system eliminates the two most common failure points of handheld diagnostic instruments ? depleted batteries and inconsistent light output. By connecting both the ophthalmoscope and otoscope to the 485 wall-mount transformer via dedicated handles, the unit delivers stable 3.5V halogen illumination throughout every examination. This is particularly important in high-throughput settings such as GP rooms, paediatric clinics, and emergency departments, where instrument reliability directly affects examination quality and throughput.

3.5V Coaxial Ophthalmoscope for Fundoscopy
The coaxial design of the ophthalmoscope aligns the illumination beam precisely with the clinician’s line of sight, minimising corneal reflex and maximising visualisation of the retina, optic disc, blood vessels, and macula. A 3.5V power supply provides sufficient brightness for examination without pupil dilation in most routine assessments, supporting screening for diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, papilloedema, and other posterior segment pathology directly in the consulting room.

3.5V Fibre Optic Otoscope for Ear and Tympanic Membrane Examination
The fibre optic otoscope transmits 3.5V illumination through a fibre optic bundle to produce a cool, bright, white light at the speculum tip ? reducing patient discomfort from heat during prolonged ear canal and tympanic membrane assessments. The instrument seats securely on the wall-mount handle and is ready for use whenever lifted, without a power-on delay. Compatible with standard disposable ear specula (2.7mm and 4.2mm sizes), it supports both paediatric and adult examination.
