CMS9000 with Built-In Thermal Recorder for Direct Waveform Documentation

The CONTEC CMS9000 PR is the recorder-equipped configuration of the CMS9000 multiparameter patient monitor, providing all the monitoring capability of the standard CMS9000 ? 12.1-inch colour TFT display, up to 8 waveform channels, NIBP, SpO2, ECG, respiration and dual-channel temperature monitoring for adult, paediatric and neonatal patients ? with the addition of a built-in thermal strip recorder for direct paper documentation of ECG waveforms, alarm events and parameter data directly from the monitor without requiring a separate ECG machine or computer printout. The pulse rate display is prominently featured in the PR configuration, ensuring that clinicians have immediate access to the calculated pulse rate value alongside SpO2 and ECG heart rate readings.

Thermal Recorder for Clinical Documentation in Theatre, ICU and Ward

The built-in thermal recorder is a clinically valuable addition to the monitoring configuration in environments where direct paper documentation of monitored waveforms is required ? particularly in operating theatres where anaesthetic record-keeping requires documented waveform records, in ICUs where paper trend records accompany clinical notes, and during resuscitation events where an instantaneous paper record of the rhythm at the time of intervention supports medico-legal documentation. The thermal recorder can print ECG waveforms, alarm event records and parameter trend outputs on standard thermal strip paper, eliminating the need for a separate ECG machine at the bedside for rhythm documentation purposes.

72-Hour Trend Storage and Portable Battery Operation

The CMS9000 PR retains all the data management capabilities of the standard CMS9000: 72-hour parameter trend storage in tabular and graphical formats, 40-second holographic waveform review, adjustable alarm ranges with audible and visual alarm outputs and recallable alarm event logs. Arrhythmia analysis, ST segment detection and pacemaker detection are standard on the ECG channel. Electrosurgical unit and defibrillation protection (4000VAC/50Hz isolation) ensures safe operation in theatre environments. The built-in rechargeable battery supports portable use during patient transport. Vital Medical supplies the CMS9000 PR to South African hospitals and specialist units requiring a comprehensive multiparameter monitor with direct waveform printing capability.
