By pre-warming the tip to near-body temperature, the ThermoScan 7+ reduces this artefact and produces more consistent, repeatable readings across successive measurements. Correct probe positioning in the ear canal is critical to tympanic thermometry accuracy; the ExacTemp indicator light and confirmation beep provide real-time guidance by confirming that the probe is correctly positioned and that a stable, valid measurement has been captured before the result is displayed. Results are delivered in approximately 2 seconds, making it practical for use with uncooperative paediatric patients or in high-throughput clinical screening.
