24-Hour 3-Channel Holter Recording with Comprehensive Arrhythmia Analysis

The CONTEC TLC9803 is a 24-hour dynamic ECG system commonly called a Holter monitor that continuously records 3-channel ECG waveforms for 24 hours while the patient performs normal daily activities. The recording unit uses a compact OLED display (160×128 resolution) and stores data on an inbuilt TF (microSD-format) card with a maximum capacity of 2GB, allowing the full uncompressed original ECG data to be saved without lossy compression that could alter waveform morphology. Event marking, waveform preview and record review functions are available directly on the recorder. After the recording period, data is transferred to a PC via USB 2.0 in an average review time of less than 40 seconds per case, and analysed using the included PC analysis software. The TLC9803 uses a 3-lead system for the recording configuration, capturing a practical multi-lead dataset for ambulatory rhythm analysis.

Arrhythmia Templates, HRV, AFib and ST Analysis

The TLC9803 PC analysis software provides more than 10 pre-defined arrhythmia classification templates covering atrial premature beats, ventricular premature beats, long R-R interval events, atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation, with user-defined templates for custom pathologic waveform identification. Atrial fibrillation analysis supports full, segmented-automatic and manual analysis modes, enabling flexible and accurate AFib burden quantification. Heart rate variability (HRV) analysis is available across three time domains: short-range (5 minutes), medium-range (1 hour) and full 24-hour providing the standard clinical HRV metrics used in autonomic nervous system assessment. Advanced ST segment analysis and myocardial ischemia total load assessment support ischaemia event identification and classification over the full recording period.

Pacemaker Analysis, Sleep Apnea and Cardiac Risk Analysis

The TLC9803 includes powerful pacemaker analysis supporting AAI, VVI and DDD pacemaker types and multiple pacing modules enabling the identification and characterisation of paced beats and pacemaker function abnormalities in patients with implanted cardiac devices. Unique sleep breath pause syndrome analysis can predict sleep apnea risk from the ECG recording, adding a screening dimension beyond pure cardiac rhythm analysis. Heart Rate Turbulence (HRT) analysis supports risk stratification for post-myocardial infarction mortality, and T-wave alternation analysis provides an important index for predicting malignant arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death risk.
