The Rossmax S150 Automatic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor (VM-BPMRMS150) incorporates Rossmax’s proprietary Smart Sense Technology — an advanced electronic deflation control system in which a precision valve dynamically regulates the rate of cuff pressure release during each measurement. Unlike conventional wrist monitors that deflate at a fixed predetermined rate, Smart Sense continuously analyses the pulse signals detected during deflation and adjusts the deflation rate in real time. This dynamic pressure control improves the accuracy of systolic and diastolic endpoint capture, particularly in patients with irregular pulse patterns or borderline readings. The S150 measures blood pressure across a range of 0–299 mmHg and pulse from 30 to 200 BPM, with specified accuracy of ±3 mmHg for blood pressure and ±5% for pulse rate.

IHB Detection, Memory, Averaging, and Ease of Use

The VM-BPMRMS150 includes Irregular Heartbeat Detection (IHB), which flags any irregular pulse pattern identified during the measurement cycle and alerts the user to readings that may warrant clinical review or repeat measurement. Movement detection identifies body movement during measurement that could compromise reading accuracy. A hypertension risk indicator classifies each result against WHO blood pressure categories on screen, providing immediate contextual interpretation without the need for external reference tables.
