The VM-BHMB02 2-Function Fixed Height Manual Hospital Bed is a reliable, no-frills hospital bed designed for general ward, sub-acute, home nursing, and frail care environments where backrest and knee rest adjustment are the primary clinical requirements. By removing the height adjustment crank, the VM-BHMB02 offers a more affordable entry point for facilities and patients who require a clinically functional manual bed without the added cost of height variability.

Two Independent Crank Functions

The VM-BHMB02 uses two manual cranks — one for backrest, one for knee rest — providing all the positional adjustability needed for general patient comfort and nursing care.

The backrest adjusts from flat (0°) to 75° (±10°), supporting supine rest, semi-Fowler positioning for respiratory and cardiac patients, and an upright posture for eating, conversation, and rehabilitation activities — covering the full range of backrest positions required in general ward nursing.

The knee rest adjusts from 0° to 40° (±10°), providing lower limb support for patients in semi-Fowler positions, post-operative limb elevation, and comfort positioning for patients with oedema, venous insufficiency, or reduced lower limb mobility. The 40° knee rest range is slightly greater than the VM-BHMB03, offering additional elevation capability.

Fixed Height — 490mm

The bed sits at a fixed height of 490mm — a standard ward working height suitable for the majority of clinical nursing tasks. Fixed height construction simplifies the mechanical design, reduces long-term maintenance requirements, and lowers the unit cost without compromising the functional positioning range.

ABS Bed Ends with Safety Lock

Both head and foot ends are ABS engineering plastic with integrated safety locks — lightweight, corrosion-resistant, easy to disinfect, and securely attached to the bed frame. ABS ends are straightforward to replace if damaged and do not rust or corrode in humid clinical environments.

Foldable Side Rail

The included foldable side rail provides fall prevention and a patient handhold for repositioning and transfers. The foldable design allows rapid lowering for clinical access, wound care, and nursing tasks — without requiring removal.

IV Pole with 4 Hooks & 4 IV Pole Provisions

The included IV pole features 4 hooks — allowing multiple infusion bags or giving sets to be hung simultaneously — and can be positioned in any of 4 IV pole provisions around the bed frame, providing flexible infusion setup regardless of patient position or room layout.

2 Drainage Hooks & 4 Castors

Two drainage hooks allow secure hanging of urinary drainage bags and wound drains. Four 5-inch covered castors provide smooth, easy bed repositioning within the ward for room changes, cleaning, and clinical access.
