What Is the CMS-GS1 Video Laryngoscope?

The Contec CMS-GS1 is a digital video laryngoscope that combines a high-definition camera at the tip of the laryngoscope blade with a 3.5-inch anti-reflective touchscreen display, allowing the clinician to visualise the glottis and vocal cords in real time on an external screen rather than by direct line-of-sight as in conventional laryngoscopy. This provides a significantly improved view in difficult airway patients ? including those with limited neck mobility, obesity, or anatomical variations ? and allows trainees and supervisors to share the same view during teaching.

The 2.0-megapixel camera provides ?60? field angle and ?1000LUX illuminance with a 20?100mm working distance, delivering clear visualisation of the larynx in a variety of lighting conditions. The LCD monitor resolution of 640?480RGB at 30FPS provides smooth real-time video.
